Note: To send these commands, you’ll need to be signed into the same Google account on your phone and computer. There are three commands that I’ve found to work so far. Setting reminders, creating notes, and setting an alarm. In the following examples, I’m sending a reminder from my PC to my HTC One M8.
Send Google Now Web Commands
To set a reminder on your device, type: Set a reminder into Google and hit Enter. You’ll see the following dialog box at the top of the search page. Here you can just enter in what you need to be reminded about and when. Then click the Remind me on Google now link, and the reminder will be sent to your device.
To set an alarm on your device, type: set an alarm into Google, and then you’ll see the following dialog box where you can set your alarm, and select which device you want it set up on, if you have more than one.
To make a note on your device, type: make a note into Google (you can also use set or send a note), and then you’ll see the dialog box shown below.
Just like setting an alarm or reminder, type in your note and send it to your device.
If this is the first time you’re using these web commands, you’ll probably want to verify it works. For example, to verify a reminder went through, launch Google Now on your device, and look under your Reminders to find it.
Sending these commands to your phone or tablet comes in handy while you’re sitting in front of a computer doing your work, and your Android device isn’t readily available.
