Ashampoo Burning Studio 12.05 Full
Ashampoo Burning Studio 12 is a lightweight disc burning suite which is easy to use, yet also manages to include many unusual and powerful features which you might not expect.
Burning regular data discs, for example, is a very simple and straightforward process. Click Burn Data > New Disc from the front-end menu, drag and drop your files onto the interface, and you can be burning your CD, DVD or Blu-ray disc in a couple of clicks.
But the program can also create Autostart discs, which display interactive menus that appear when the disc is inserted. These can launch files or documents, open a folder, link to a web page and more, and are a great way to properly present information to the recipient of your disc.
It's a similar story when you need to create video DVDs. Just like the competition, you can drag and drop in a few source videos and burn them to a PAL or NTSC video. But that's just the start. Burning Studio 12 can also trim, cut or split your videos; add soundtracks to a movie; create video slideshows from your images, with custom transitions and subtitles, and more.
And there's plenty of power elsewhere. You can easily create or rip audio CDs, for instance. You're able to burn, create or browse disc images in all the main formats (ASHDISC, CUE/ BIN, ISO, IMG). And there are tools to run simple file backups, copy discs, edit labels and covers, and the list goes on.
What's new? Ashampoo Burning Studio 12 now supports burning 100 and 128GB BDXL discs, perfect for heavy-duty archiving tasks. And if even that's not enough, the new Disc Spanning option allows you the program to automatically split your files over as many discs as are required.
You get plenty of other smaller improvements scattered throughout the suite. You can now normalize the audio of your video tracks; insert credits on a slideshow; burn audio discs from CUE sheets; rip CDs to FLAC or OGG files, and more.
And all this is presented in a clean and clear interface which has been revamped to improve usability, and now launches faster than ever.
Please note, the program installer will by default install a browser toolbar and change your search and home pages. If that's not what you want, choose the Custom Installation option and clear the relevant check boxes.
Verdict:
Ashampoo Burning Studio 12 is fast and easy to use, yet still manages to include plenty of powerful features. If you're tired of the more bloated competition but don't want to compromise on functionality then Burning Studio 12 could be the ideal choice
